The Camera House

The Camera House is a camera rental company based in Los Angeles, CA. I was hired as a website design contractor in June of 2016. I handled everything from the composition of the site to the company's new identity.

Responsibilities

Website design, identity design, graphic design.

Problem

The old website was dated and hadn't been updated since 2008. There were many problems with the information architecture of the site and it resulted in potential customers leaving for competitors.

Solution

Create a modern, clean, and simple UI/UX.

Wireframes

I started my design process by drafting a general information architecture with the client using white boards. With a consistent and familiar IA in place, I created mid-fidelity wireframes using Sketch.

After the wireframes and IA were approved I began messing around with various fonts and color combinations. We settled on a dark theme.

Screens

Wall is an iOS app that focuses on the integrity of conversation - personal, unguarded, and of the moment. The goal of the app is to provide users with an experience that is simple, private, familiar, and social.

Mobile Screens

I used the same theme from desktop to mobile. The mobile site was especially important because people in the film industry are almost always mobile. The mobile UI/UX is simple and straightforward.
